Let’s Experiment a little.... Let’s try some new things.... Let’s Paint with No Fear Let’s have FUN... Bring what you have... Bring what you can...

Things we can do with paint, water, and paper are what we are after with no stress or fear...Just have Fun...

Things I will need: container for water, brushes, paper towels, old credit card, watercolor paint in tubes and on a pallette, 100% cotton paper, a flat surface on which to attach the paper, tape or clamps to attach the paper, pencil, eraser, and an Imagination...(Note: we will have some of these but participants are encouraged to bring what they can.)

Dr. Jim McIntosh an awarding winning Watercolor Artist and in a previous life a Biology Professor will lead this class.  You have the best of both worlds, an excellent artist and an outstanding teacher, plus you will experience a refreshing environment at the Imagination Lavender Farm.

There is a fee of $40 which will include a light lunch.

Supplies:  Dr. McIntosh should have sufficient supplies for participants but below are items he suggests for the workshop and continuing your art: 

BRING IF YOU HAVE
Water container.
Palette with cover,
Painting board: 12”X16”, 16”X23”, 11”X12” depending on paper size.
Paper: acid free, 140lb, the best you can afford.
Sketch Book,
Pencils,
Kneaded eraser
Sponges,
Scraping tools,
Cloth and/or paper towels.
Sprayer,
Salt Shaker
Crayon-white,
Tooth Brush,
Hair Dryer (will have at workshop)
Clips or tape for attaching paper to board.
Brushes: Flats 1/2”-2”, Rounds #4, #8, #10. Rigger #2, or #3.

Paint: wet from a tube. Colors: Reds: Cad Red Medium, Alizarin, Rose Madder, Burnt Sienna, Fuchsia, Cad scarlet. Blues: Cobalt, Ultra Marine, Prussian, Manganese, Thalo Blue, Cerulean. Yellow: Cad Yellow Light, Raw Sienna, Gambose. Orange, Purple, Turquoise, Spring Green, Sap Green, Viridian, Thalo Green, Payne’s Gray.
 
For Plein Air: bug spray, water to drink, sun glasses, hat, “sit-upon”, sun screen.
